Job Description And Responsibilities
The Distance Learning School of our client in Germany, is seeking an assistant or associate professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses online remotely. Job duties also include some research and service with a strong focus on teaching. The faculty member will be an integral part of the Department’s and College’s long-term commitment to teaching excellence and will be expected to teach a variety of Marketing courses. We are offering a twelve-month tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall 2020.
The successful hire will work remotely in distance learning both in undergraduate and graduate business programs residing in any state of the European Union, North America, or the UK. He/she will also supervise master's thesis research, non-thesis option professional projects and undergraduate honors theses.
You will also develop a portfolio of service activities, which preferably will include support for hiring commitees and digital educational resources.
Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in Marketing. 50%
Prepare distance learning materials (videos, presentations, short course books). 30%
Conduct research in his/her field of expertise. 15%
Service to the school, university and community. 5%
Required Qualifications, Assistant Professor Applicants
Ph.D. in Marketing, or related discipline (A.B.D. candidates may be considered). Applicants should demonstrate a promising or established research agenda in Marketing and/or related fields.
Please note that you need at least 5 years of work experience after the first academic degree, of which at least 3 years outside higher education in the respective industry.
